Celebrating Excellence: The 12th Annual Blumey Awards Recap

The 12th Annual Blumey Awards, presented by Bank of America, celebrated the best in high school musical theater! This year's gala on May 18th at the Belk Theater showcased incredible talent with live performances from Best Actor, Best Actress, and Bank of America Best Musical nominees. A huge congratulations to William A. Hough High School for their multiple wins, including:

  • Jack McRee for Best Supporting Actor as Uncle Fester in "The Addams Family"

  • Dylan Vezendy for Best Student Set Designer for "The Addams Family"

  • Gavin Vezendy for Best Student Stage Manager for "The Addams Family"

We're also thrilled to announce that Elijah Phillips, a senior at Northwest School of the Arts, was awarded a prestigious Mary Doctor Fine Arts Scholarship of $10,000, renewable annually!
